KPERS has started an exciting new project: a new pension administration system. The system will include a new Employer Web Portal (EWP) and a new process for reporting. We won’t roll anything out until 2029, but we need to start working on the EWP and pay period reporting processes now.  


Why you?

We thought you might want to have some input into what we’re doing, and to be among the first to try out the new portal. That’s why we’re contacting you. We’re hoping that someone in your agency – preferably working in payroll – will join our new Panel of Employers (see below). What's the plan?

We want to partner with a select group of Employers to make this project successful for everyone: you, the members, and our staff. So, we’re putting together an Employer Reporting Panel (ERP).


What will the ERP do?

Here are a few (not all) of the things we have in mind.

  • Give feedback about the function of the EWP

  • Give feedback on the file format and help test it

  • Give suggestions for communication/training materials and documentation

  • Give input into the rollout plan and related activities

  • Participate in pilot training programs

  • Test the new Employer Web Portal

What commitment is involved?

In addition to getting your regular input, we are looking at quarterly, virtual get-togethers. We won't overwhelm you, but we also value your perspective on this vital part of the new EWP.

But where there are choices on how or when to do something, your input and feedback will affect our decisions. For example, the best ways to test the new file. We expect to be asking your opinion a lot.

  3. Make a difference: About 1,500 Employers participate in the Retirement System plans. Your participation on the Panel will make the rollout of the new Portal and new processes smoother for all. And as a result, our 346,000-plus members will benefit, too.
