Pay Dates on a Holiday |

Recently we sent you an email regarding verification of 2027 service quarter dates. After review, we found that your agency's first pay period of the year has a January 1, 2027, pay date. Since the banks and KPERS are not open on this date, this pay date will need to be corrected.
Determining Factor:
What year will you include this pay on your employees W-2, 2026 or 2027?
If you will be issuing this check in 2026,
Please contact our office so we can correct your 2026 and 2027 pay period dates before verification.
If you will be issuing this check in 2027,
Please correct the pay date.
Please review any other pay dates to make sure they do not fall on a holiday and correct if necessary. |
