Summer-pay reporting is ready. If you’re not sure how it works, we have some resources to help you out.
Summer Pay Resources
"No Summer Pay"
The purpose of the No Summer Pay button is to ensure that employees on this type of leave without pay still receive service credit. Use No Summer Pay button (each pay report) for non-licensed employees not paid during summer.
Mistake?
NEW
If you applied No Summer Pay to an employee by mistake, just open the payroll detail for that employee and simply uncheck the No Summer Pay box.
You will now see "No Summer Pay on certifications. if you haven't completed your Pay Period Report, you can select No Summer Pay for a pay date if they truly have no pay.
End Dates for Summer Pay
If an employee ends employment after a summer “Pay Until Date” has been used for that employee, you’ll need to enter the end date through Employee Lookup.
Rate Reminder
Your working-after-retirement employer contribution rates will go down July 1, 2021.
One More Reminder
You can only apply lump-sum summer pay one time per each pay cycle and plan.
Example: You can do lump-sum once for KPERS 01 in June and then for WAR 01 in July, if needed.
