Reminder: Online Beneficiary Changes in the MWP or Secure Upload in the EWP Preferred |
|
|
It's important for members to name a person, trust, estate or a combination of those as their beneficiaries.
As you enroll new employees, there are a few things to keep in mind:
|
|
|
-
Members should submit their beneficiary changes in their online KPERS accounts. They can create an online KPERS account here. It'll only take a few minutes. See the How-To page for more. Once logged in, they can see their account balance and years of service, add or change beneficiaries, calculate personalized retirement benefit estimates, view member annual statements and update their contact info.
-
Members should only submit a beneficiary designation if they want to make changes. If they do not wish to make any changes, there is nothing they need to do.
-
If you’re enrolling a large group of new employees and having them fill out the paper/PDF beneficiary form, we ask that you please ONLY upload via Secure Upload in the EWP. Batches are preferred.
-
Please DO NOT bulk fax beneficiary change forms. This is not secure.
-
Please DO NOT email beneficiary forms to kpers@kspers.gov. This is not secure.
Thank you for helping us process beneficiary information securely and efficiently. |
